From illusion to essence

De l'illusion à l'essence

I am writing to you today from a space of absolute confidence.

For years, I chased a chimera: that radiance, that pure and flawless light so often promised by contemporary aesthetics. In 2021, during those dense months when the world was still navigating the pandemic in Chile, I made the mistake of looking for shortcuts. Guided by impatience and the desire for a perfect complexion, I gave in to a promise: the Baby Glow. I did not know then that I was imposing a veritable cosmetic tattoo upon my face; in my innocence, I altered the very nature of my skin.

Very quickly, disillusionment set in. Chromatic shadows began to cloud my face, unpredictable irregularities that would appear and disappear as the days passed. It was the beginning of a long labyrinth: dermatological consultations, successive layers of chemical formulas, and aggressive treatments in an attempt to neutralize photosensitivity and counter urban pollution. I thought I was healing it, but I was only suffocating it. Skin is not an inert surface to be covered in artifice; it is a living ecosystem, endowed with a memory and a profound dignity that is too often broken by haste.

This realization changed everything. I put an end to the excess to finally listen to the skin microbiome. From this silence, from this necessary reconciliation with botanical purity, our house was born: an intimate desire to restore to the skin its original balance, without violence or illusory promises.

Today, my epidermis breathes again, regaining its uniformity and natural clarity not because it was forced, but because it was finally respected. True radiance is never born of excess, but of a patient and sincere return to the essential.

With all my goodwill,

Je. Guevara.
